Trip Details

The GESGB are pleased to invite you to register for a visit to the Drax Power Station.

Date & Time5 September 2025  – 13:00-15:00

Location: Drax Power Station, Drax, Selby YO8 8PH

The duration of the visit is 2 hours, and includes time in their visitor area with a presentation on the generation process at Drax and includes information on BECCS. There is also a minibus tour to the outside areas of the site such as the domes and cooling towers, and a walking tour through the boiler house and turbine hall. The BECCS area is not available for visitors to view, but the visit includes a short presentation and drive past the compound.

The field trip schedule will be shared with registered attendees closer to the time of the visit.

  • All participants are required to make their own travel and catering arrangements.
  • Free car parking available onsite.
