Inaugural GESGB/GEAA award for outstanding contribution to geothermal

The Geoscience Energy Society of Great Britain (GESGB) and the Geothermal Energy Advancement Association (GEAA) have established an award for the most outstanding contribution in the development of Geothermal Energy.

This can involve both research developments that encourage and enable the adoption of geothermal energy in heat to heat or heat to power generation systems or the development/implementation of practical solutions and systems in geothermal. It can also include outstanding work in the synergy between geothermal and the mining industries.

The presentation of the inaugural award will take place at the end of the Geothermal Conference on Thursday 12 June 2025 at the Geological Society London.

We invite nominations for the award from the wide academic and industrial community, researching and practicing in geothermal energy. Nominations can be made for both individuals and organisations.
