Topic: Where Are We on CCS? Latest CO₂ Storage Developments in Europe

Speaker: Nick Terrell, Executive Director, Carbon Catalyst Limited

Abstract

This talk will provide an overview of progress in the deployment of the carbon capture and storage (CCS) sector, with a particular focus on developments across Europe. Nick will highlight ongoing and upcoming projects, outline key policy enablers currently in the pipeline and discuss what’s next for the sector.

He will also touch on the UK’s Poseidon CCS project, a Perenco-operated initiative focused on redeveloping the ultra-depleted 15 Tcf Leman gas field in the Southern North Sea, which is progressing towards final investment decision (FID) next year.
