Event Information

Subsurface hydrogen storage – to be or not to be?

In what promises to be a good line of talks on hydrogen storage, Katharine Howell from Exceed will delve into the subsurface work she has recently been doing on the UK’s biggest gas storage site Rough in the Southern North Sea, which has been earmarked as a potential site to store hydrogen. In addition, Heikki Jutlia will illustrate the simulation work carried out for the project. John Underhill from Aberdeen Uni and Malcolm Butler from UKOGL will subsequently discuss the work they recently published about on an onshore candidate for hydrogen storage – the Cousland field – and why there are some difficulties with it.

A buffet lunch will be served.

Tickets cost £10 and can be purchased here: https://geoexpro.com/product/aberdeen-energy-talks-19-03-2024/
