The GESGB invite you to attend a visit to the ICL Boulby Mine. The subsurface itinerary will be dependent upon the mining operations at the time of the visit.
In the past we have examined the polyhalite succession, the Boulby Halite, and associated carnalite and sylvinte seams. The different responses of these evaporites to over burden pressure will also be considered. There is also a possibility of examining other Formations on this occasion.
The field trip schedule will be shared closer to the time of the visit.
Clothing and equipment
All safety clothing and equipment will be provided by ICL Boulby Ltd.
Travel and catering
All participants are required to make their own travel and catering arrangements.
