The GESGB are delighted to be hosting a special evening lecture, in recognition of our Diamond Anniversary, at the Geological Society London. 

GESGB members are invited to this exclusive event where you will experience high-quality talks and discussions followed by an exciting networking reception in the beautiful surroundings of Burlington House.

Speaker Biographies

Oonagh Werngren MBE

  • PESGB President 2014.
  • Awarded an MBE in the 2011 Queen’s Birthday Honours List for Services to the oil and gas industry.
  • Oonagh held senior leadership positions for BP, GDF SUEZ and Oil & Gas UK.

Malcolm Brown

  • Former Senior Executive at BG Group.
  • President of Geological Society of London 2016-2018.
  • Board Member of North Sea Transition Authority.

Graeme Bagley

Graeme is currently Head of Global Exploration & Appraisal for Westwood Global Energy. Prior to joining Westwood in 2017 Graeme was Head of Exploration Technology and Capability with Maersk Oil in Copenhagen and before that spent 30 years with BP in variety of subsurface technical and leadership positions in UK, Egypt and South America. Graeme has presented at global events for the AAPG, SEG, EAGE, GESGB and the Frontier Energy Network Graeme graduated from Oxford University with an MSc in Petroleum Exploration Seismology
