North Sea Core Connections (Field Trip)

Are you keen to see the great variety of North Sea geology on display in one room? On Saturday 29 October you’ll be able to see the latest additions to our selection of the best bits of the North Sea at our core store. We’ll guide you through what is on display and illustrate the relevance to what is currently happening in the basin. With drinks and nibbles served, this will be a great opportunity to not only brush up your geology, but also share experiences and catch up with friends and colleagues.

Travel
The core store is in a rural area, so either car (sharing) or cycling is recommended. Parking spaces are available. There is a bus service from Aberdeen City Centre that can transport you within walking distance from the core store.

Location
The core store is located close to Newburgh and 15 minutes north of Aberdeen. The address will be supplied to registered participants.

Additional information
Given the time of the year, you will be required to dress appropriately as the core store is at a farm and is not heated.
