An overview of the UK offshore wind sector

The speakers will aim to give a brief history of the UK offshore wind sector, where we are today, and future plans. They will then go into more detail regarding the latest CfD allocation round.

Peter Lloyd-Williams, Senior Analyst – Offshore Wind – Commercial

Peter Lloyd-Williams is a senior analyst within Westwood’s energy transition team and is responsible for commercial coverage within the offshore wind team.

His work covers a range of transaction, investment and regulatory topics and is particularly focused on the interaction between project economics and subsidy/regulatory regimes. Previously, he was the lead renewables analyst in the market research group at Clarksons Platou where his work focused on vessel supply/demand trends and newbuild investment.

Bahzad Ayoub, Senior Analyst – Offshore Wind

Bahzad is a Senior Analyst based in Westwood Global Energy’s London office where he leads on research and analysis of the global offshore wind projects market. He has previously worked in two leading UK based energy trade associations in a Senior Analyst position.

Bahzad has over ten years of experience working in the energy market, initially starting his career in the oil and gas sector, he transitioned over to the offshore wind sector, gaining experience and knowledge of the market over the past seven years. Bahzad holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in History and Politics and he obtained this at SOAS.
