The GESGB special interest group to represent members with an interest in U.K. onshore energy. The objective of this SIG is to provide a semi-formal forum for members currently engaged or formerly engaged in the production and generation of energy to meet to exchange ideas, experiences and discuss developing techniques applicable to land-based energy activities. These include hydrocarbon exploration, wind, geothermal, solar and nuclear which all play there part in contributing to the UKs energy needs both past and the future as the energy transition progresses.
Meetings are generally planned on a quarterly basis where operators and contractors will be invited to give presentations. It is intended that meetings will be held person and in locations where refreshments will be available, and where possible either recorded or made available virtually online.
The SIGs Steering Committee is designed to comprise members involved in the different energy sectors and is always looking for new members and their ideas and voluntary assistance.
